Chocolate Martini
Valentine’s Day is less than a week away! Whenever I think of Valentine’s Day, I think of flowers, teddy bears, wine, and fancy dinners. But most of all, I think of chocolate.
Chocolate and romance have gone together since the times of the Mayans. You can get chocolate in fancy boxes, or in your everyday favorite candies. But! Don’t forget about chocolate alcohol. If Covid is preventing you from taking your special someone out to dinner this year, or if you are just looking for a sweet treat for dessert, then this Chocolate Martini recipe is the drink for you!
This week’s episode of Be Your Own Bartender highlights the fantastic Chocolate Martini recipe from Delish.com. It is a simple recipe, taking only three ingredients: vodka, Irish cream, and chocolate liqueur (check out some other three-ingredient vodka recipes when you’re done making this one). When we made them, we used 360 Double Chocolate vodka, Carolann’s Irish Cream, and Trader Vic’s Chocolate liqueur. You will also need to get out that chocolate syrup and shave a piece of your favorite chocolate for the finishing touches to this chocolatey cocktail. Like any of the recipes that we make, you can easily swap ingredients around to your liking. For example, the original recipe calls for plain vodka. Instead, we opted to use chocolate vodka. Caramel, vanilla, or even cherry vodka would also be great options.
Don’t forget to visit us this week during our Valen-Wine’s sale – all wine is 10% off through the 13th, and 15% off on Tuesday! We also have great deals on whiskey.
Thanks again for watching Be Your Own Bartender. If you liked this chocolate martini, you should try a Vesper martini, made famous thanks to James Bond. Enjoy this chocolate cocktail this week, and we will see you next time!
Until then, cheers!
